John James Dandridge was born on Shanklin on the Isle of Wight 14-3-1901 enlisted as boy in to the Royal Navy in March 1917 & served onboard HMS Benbow during WW1. No issue of the clasp is mentioned on either the recipients MIC or medal roll. on the 1901 census he is recorded as a 13 year old school boy from Warwick. 1, on 22 July 1936, still borne on the books of H.M.S.
