The vibrant and close-knit student community is enough to make you forget about the prison-like interiors of your halls, at least until, about half way through the year, the poverty-inspired fashion of Fallowfield students really blooms and unironically tethers itself to the Oak House architectural style, resulting in the community's characteristic prison-chic aesthetic. Unreal Halls for social life, and making the most of Manchester, Real poor socialising areas in flat, but had a fantastic time as it is what you make of it, -always noisy here Set within theUniversity campus, green spaces and metropolitan streets, residents on the north of the campus are only five minutes' walk from the heart of the city centre, with Sugden Sports Centre and Manchester Aquatics (closed until Spring 2023) close by too, while for those south of the campus, it's only a short journey via one of the many buses that travel along the Oxford Road corridor. The best socially, basic rooms but they are liveable, right next to Wimslow Road which is very handy, quite loud at night. + Good wifi Poor Internet. Likewise, not having a sink in my room really isn't an issue. But extremely loud and at times too intense- if this isnt your cup of tea youd be best choosing elsewhere. + Cheap I wish I would have known how small and noisy this accommodation would be, but this is a cash-cow for the University of Manchester. Either way, sharing meals (spaghetti Bolognese springs to mind) with friends was a great way of spending evenings at the weekends. + Social hub of fallowfield There's plenty of room for storing things, but I'd advise you buy some big flat boxes for underwear etc., so you can store more underneath the bed, and also for the top of the wardrobe.
